A Helping Hand
I lay alone in this dark, still place,
So dark I cannot see your face.
Your hand that reaches out I cannot see,
I can only feel it as you're helping me.
Through many toils and spills and troubles,
The pain in my heart nearly doubles.
But you're always there each and every day,
Helping me, and the pain quickly goes away.
Though I cannot see you, I know you're there.
I feel safe when I'm in your care.
I thank you for your unending kindness,
Through the days of my blindness.
